About Tech Connect
Our Northwest Ohio region is the home to many new and emerging technologies and businesses and Tech Connect is the place to go to mix innovative ideas with opportunity. The ideas are put into action through programs like Launch and Rocket Ventures, both programs of the Regional Growth Partnership. Launch and Rocket Ventures provide valuable business assistance, coaching, mentoring, and funding for fledgling companies to accelerate their time to market.

Developing Community-Based Venture Financing, Featuring Steve Weathers, RGP President
Businesses that start up and grow in your community are the backbone of the local economy. Unfortunately, the recession has shown how lean financial times can harm the growth of early-stage and growing entrepreneurial companies.
Venture capital, angel funding and other financing options all have been in short supply over the past year - yet some communities still have been able to help their entrepreneurs. By taking proactive and creative steps to establish new sources of funding, these communities have been able to ensure that new companies can get the financing they need to grow and be successful.
Join IEDC On January 21 to hear from two communities that have successfully helped entrepreneurs jump-start new businesses. Web seminar attendees will:
- Hear two successful community case studies
- Get details on what worked well
- Discover how to replicate part or all of these programs locally
Date: Thursday, January 21
Time: 2:30 - 4:00 pm EST
Cost: $85 for IEDC members, $125 for Non-members
